RifApp

Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 30 October 2026

These terms cover your use of RifApp. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use RifApp.

1. What RifApp is

RifApp is software that helps you run a raffle, a multipliers game (×Times) or a giveaway. It gives you a numbered board or a registration page, a link to share, tools to confirm who has selected a number or entry, and a way to draw winners.

RifApp does not organise your game. You do. You decide the prize, you set the price (if any) of a number or entry, you collect that money (if any) yourself, you decide who has paid (if there is a payment involved), and you hand over the prize. RifApp never holds any money participants pay you and never takes a cut of it.

Accordingly, the following provisions apply. For all purposes relating to participants, you are the organiser of the game and RifApp merely provides the software tools. The game is yours, not ours. RifApp is not responsible for, including but not limited to: disputes, prize delivery, participant claims, payment issues, or other matters arising from your game. Subject to the Liability section below, you release RifApp from claims arising out of those matters.

We are not responsible for whether your game is legal where you live or where your participants are. RifApp does not verify or give an opinion on the legality of your game, and you are responsible for complying with the laws that apply.

2. Who can use it

You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, and you must be allowed to run the game you are creating.

You need an account, which you create with an email address and password or with Google sign-in. Keep your credentials to yourself; anything done through your account is treated as done by you.

Unless expressly authorised by RifApp, each account may be used only by the individual who registered it. Do not create an account for someone else or pretend to be anyone you are not.

3. What you pay us

RifApp charges a one-time fee for the service, decided by its size: how many numbers a raffle has, or how many participants a giveaway accepts. Every multipliers game (×Times) is paid. Smaller raffles and giveaways are free.

There is no per-number, per-entry or per-ticket commission, and no subscription. You pay once when you create a paid game, and nothing after that, however much that game takes in.

Current prices are shown on the home page and again before you pay. We can change them, but a change never affects a game you have already paid for.

Payments are handled by Onvopay, our payment processor. You enter your card or SINPE Móvil details on their page or into a form that passes them straight to them. Card numbers never reach RifApp's systems, and the national ID number used for a SINPE Móvil payment is passed to Onvopay and not stored by us.

4. Refunds

A paid game is built the moment your payment is confirmed — the board is generated and the game becomes shareable straight away. Because of that, except where required by applicable law, fees are non-refundable once a game has been created and made available to you.

If payment is successfully processed but no game is created, contact us and we will either create the game or refund the fee.

Deleting a game does not return its fee, and the fee does not carry over to another game.

5. Running your game is your responsibility

Raffles, lotteries and prize draws are regulated differently from one country to the next, and in some places they need a permit or are not allowed at all. Whether your game is legal where you and your participants are is entirely your responsibility. RifApp does not check this and gives no opinion on it.

You are responsible for describing the prize honestly, for the price you charge, for collecting that money, for deciding and recording who has paid, for actually running the draw, and for delivering the prize to whoever wins.

You are also responsible for what you put into the service: a game's name, its description and anything you write in it. Do not use RifApp for anything deceptive, for a game you do not intend to pay out, or for a scheme that depends on recruiting more participants.

If you bring in co-managers, they act on your behalf and you remain responsible for what they do.

If you designate co-managers, they must access RifApp through their own accounts.

If we find that a game is illegal, deceptive, abusive or breaks our policies, we can suspend or remove it. Where reasonably practicable, we will tell you why.

6. How draws work, and what we will not do

RifApp never draws a game for you. There is no automatic draw when a deadline passes — a person has to decide to draw, and every draw must be initiated by a human user.

Once the deadline passes, the game stops accepting entries and waits for you. A passed deadline cannot be moved, and the game's name, description and dates are frozen once it is settled, because those are the terms your participants played under.

You cannot undo a completed draw through the service. Winners are added one at a time and there is no way to remove one afterwards. You are responsible for reviewing draw decisions before confirming them.

How many winners a game may have depends on its size, and that limit is fixed when the game is created.

Winners may be selected manually by the organiser, or at random through RifApp's draw feature. A random draw can be made across every number on the board, including numbers nobody took — in which case that prize has no winner. That is a choice you make at the time, and the service shows you which option you picked. RifApp does not guarantee the outcome of a draw, and we are not responsible for a dispute about one.

7. Availability and changes

We try to keep RifApp working, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption, and we may change, add or remove features.

RifApp depends on services we do not control, including Google Cloud and our payment processor. An outage in one of those can take RifApp down with it.

There is no scheduled job watching your games. Some things — recording that a game whose deadline has passed is closed, for example — happen the next time the game is used rather than at the exact moment the clock runs out. That never lets a late entry through, and your participants see a game as closed as soon as the deadline passes either way.

8. Our content and yours

RifApp's software, name and design belong to us. You may use the service, which is not the same as owning any part of it, and you may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.

What you create stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you share your game with, which is the only way the service can work.

If you send us feedback we may act on it without owing you anything for it.

9. Suspension and ending your account

You can stop using RifApp whenever you like. To have your account removed, write to us at the address below.

We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms, that is being used for something deceptive or illegal, or where leaving it in place would put other users at risk. Where reasonably practicable, we will tell you why.

If your account is permanently terminated, associated games may be removed and participants may lose access to them.

10. Disclaimers and limits

RifApp is provided as it is. We do not promise it is free of faults, that it fits a particular purpose, or that using it makes your game lawful.

We are not a party to your game. We are not responsible for a prize that is not delivered, money a participant paid you, a dispute between you and a participant, a draw you regret, or a game that turned out to be against the rules where you live.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with RifApp is limited to the fees you paid us for the game the claim relates to. We are not liable for lost profits or indirect losses.

Nothing here removes a right you have that cannot be removed by agreement.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RifApp, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the service, your violation of these terms, your violation of applicable law, or your violation of any rights of another.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use RifApp after a change means you accept the new version.

If a change matters a lot, we will make a reasonable effort to say so rather than relying on you noticing the date.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica, and disputes go to the courts of Costa Rica. If you are somewhere whose law does not allow that, using RifApp means accepting that choice.
