Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 October 2026
This explains what RifApp collects about you, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
1. What we collect
Your account: your email address, and your name and profile picture if you signed in with Google. If you set a password, we never see it — authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication, which stores it for us.
Your phone number, but only if you choose to add one. It is optional, nothing in the app requires it, and it exists so participants and organisers can reach each other.
What you create: the names, descriptions and dates of your games, which numbers or entries have been taken and by whom, what you have confirmed as paid, and the results of any draw.
A record of the fees you have paid, including the amount, currency and the payment's reference at our processor.
Small technical details that come with any web request, such as your IP address and browser, which our hosting and server logs record.
Two values stored in your browser rather than by us: your language choice, and a note of whether this browser was signed in last time so the page can load faster. They are not used for advertising or tracking.
2. What we never store
Card numbers. Card payments happen on our processor's own page, and those details never reach RifApp.
The national ID number used for a SINPE Móvil payment. It travels from your browser through our server to the processor and is not written to our database.
Your password, as above.
We do not use advertising cookies, we do not run third-party analytics or tracking scripts, and we do not sell or rent your information to anybody.
3. If you write to us
When you send us a message from these pages, we store your name, your email address, the subject and the message itself, so we can read it and reply to you.
Only platform administrators can see it. We keep it until we delete it, and you can ask us to delete it sooner.
4. Why we use it
To run the service: to show you your games, to let the people you share a link with take part, and to let you confirm who has paid and draw winners.
To take payment for a paid game, and to keep a record that it was paid.
To keep the service working and secure, to investigate abuse, and to meet legal obligations such as keeping accounting records.
To contact you about your account or a game when we need to.
5. Who can see your information
Anyone you share a game link with, if they are signed in, can see that game's name and description, which numbers are taken, and the first name shown against a taken number or a published winner.
They can also see the organiser's phone number, if the organiser has added one — it is shown so participants can get in touch. If you run games and you add a phone number, expect it to be visible on your games to anyone who can open them. Leave it blank if you would rather it was not.
If you take part in someone's game, that organiser and anyone they have brought in to help can see your name, your email address and your phone number if you have set one, so they can confirm your payment and reach you.
Platform administrators can see every game and every account, because somebody has to be able to deal with abuse and fix mistakes.
Nobody else. Participants cannot see each other's email addresses or phone numbers.
6. Who processes it for us
Google, through Firebase and Google Cloud, hosts the application, stores the database and handles sign-in.
Onvopay processes payments. When you pay, the details you enter go to them, along with your email address and a description of what you are buying.
Each of these only handles your information in order to provide that service to us.
7. Where it is stored
Our database is hosted in a multi-region location in the United States, so your information is stored and processed there regardless of where you are.
If you are somewhere whose law restricts sending personal information abroad, using RifApp means accepting that transfer.
8. How long we keep it
Your account and your games stay until you ask us to remove them. A finished game is kept rather than deleted, because its result is the record your participants may need to refer back to.
Deleting a game removes it and its numbers or entries.
Records of payments are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require, even after an account is closed.
9. Your choices and rights
You can see and change your name and phone number on your account page at any time, and you can clear the phone number completely.
You can delete any game you own from its management page.
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and the games attached to it. There is no button for account deletion yet — write to the address below and we will do it.
Deleting your account means the games you created go too, so tell us if you need their results first.
10. Children
RifApp is not intended for children. Do not create an account if you are not old enough to agree to our terms. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and we will remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will make a reasonable effort to flag a change that materially affects you rather than relying on you noticing it.
12. Contact
